
No One Was Hurt When Fire Consumed A Maine Home
Fire crews and other Maine agencies endured brutal heat to battle a massive house fire in Dennis Plantation.
Maine Fire Officials Say a Dennis Plantation Fire Was Fully Engulfed When Crews Arrived
Officials say no one was home when the fire started at the home on Tuesday. 911 calls were made just before 6:30 pm, with witnesses reporting a large plume of smoke.
According to a post on the Facebook page for the Jackman - Moose River Fire & Rescue Department, it's believed the fire had burned inside the home for a while before the windows broke out from the excessive heat.
When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed.

Once the outside air entered the home, the fire became an inferno.
Maine Fire Officials Say Agencies and Neighbors Helped With Dennis Plantation Fire
Some of the neighbors helped firefighters move a Jeep, an ATV, and a camper trailer away from the burning house and garage.
Officials say several other fire departments aided in the effort, as well as two Maine Forest Rangers who extinguished hot spots in the woods that spread from the home.
U.S. Border Patrol Agents assisted in keeping traffic out of the area, and Bishop's Store supplied food and water to everyone involved in fighting the blaze.
Maine Firefighters Battled Extreme Heat as They Fought the Dennis Plantation Fire
It was an intense day, with the heat from the flames adding to an already 90+ degree, hot, and humid day. Firefighters drank a lot of water to stay healthy, and there are no reports of any heat-related illnesses.
The State Fire Marshal's Office will investigate to determine how the fire started, but officials say the cause is not believed to be suspicious.
