Four sustained minor injuries, but one person had to be transported by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries.

Maine Fire Crews Responded to a Bridgton Fire that Injured Residents and a Firefighter

Bridgton Fire Department and mutual aid departments responded to a fire and a reported explosion at approximately 3:30 pm.

Firefighters found a home and attached garage under construction, both showing signs of fire.

Witness videos and photos show smoke visible for miles and huge flames at the home on Dyvonne Terrace in the Western Maine town of Bridgton.

A firefighter sustained minor burn injuries at the scene, but was not transported to the hospital.

Maine Fire Marshal Says Bridgton Fire Likely Started with a Propane Leak

An initial investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office suggests the fire likely started after a propane leak inside the home was accidentally ignited.

Officials say the home is a total loss.
