A man who was shot in Portland last week has died from his injuries.

Police say 45-year-old Jack Wilson of Portland died Tuesday night, a week after he was shot on Oxford Street, near the intersection with Elm Street. A Portland Police officer who was nearby heard the shots and rushed to help Wilson.

An autopsy determined that Wilson died as a result of the gunshot wound and his death is now considered a homicide. So far, no suspect has been named and police have not levied any charges.
