Bangor Police Arrest 2 at Camp Hope Unhoused Encampment
The Bangor Police SWAT Team was at the city's largest homeless encampment on Thursday to help officers with two arrests.
What Do We Know About the People Arrested?
Bangor Police Sergeant Jason Mcambley says the two suspects are married:

McAmbley says the investigation has been ongoing for weeks, resulting in the police presence in Camp Hope. Bangor Police Officers, Detectives, and the Special Response Team (SWAT), as well as members of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, and Homeland Security were involved in the execution of a search warrant on an RV parked at the site on Cleveland Avenue. David and Amy Carver were both apprehended by police as they tried to flee the scene. The Special Response Team accompanied police, as a precaution.
David Carver was arrested on the following warrants:
- Aggravated trafficking drugs

Both the Carvers were taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
