Police Investigate Shooting At Auburn Walmart [UPDATE]

One man is dead after a reported shooting at the Walmart in Auburn.

The incident happened Saturday night in the Walmart parking lot. Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says 41-year-old Jean Fournier of Turner died at Central Maine Medical Center, where he was taken by ambulance after he was shot. State and Auburn Police spent much of the night questioning the shooter, as well as several witnesses.

An autopsy will be conducted by the State Medical Examiner, and the shooter's car has been taken to the State Crime Lab for analysis. So far no charges have been filed, but police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
