Kyle Dube Allegedly Used a False Facebook Page to Lure Nicole Cable to Her Death
It was Mother's Day weekend in 2013 when Kyle Dube allegedly used a false Facebook page under another student's name to lure the 15-year-old to the end of her family's private road.
The then 20-year-old allegedly forced Nichole into the back of his pickup and eventually left her naked body in the woods in Old Town.

At the time of his arrest, Dube allegedly told police he planned to kidnap Nichole, hide her away until she was reported missing, and then he would be the one to find her.
The search for Nichole stretched on for eight days before they found her.
An autopsy determined she had been strangled.

Dube and his attorney appealed his conviction in court on Tuesday, claiming to have new evidence in the case.
WGME-TV reports they allegedly have evidence that Cable may have died shortly before she was found.
Dube was in jail at the time.
His attorneys are also alleging prosecutorial misconduct and ineffective assistance of counsel in the original trial.
A judge has agreed to a two-day hearing in January to discuss potential new evidence.
