A New Hampshire man is dead and another in critical condition after an ATV accident in Bingham.

According to the Maine Warden Service, 55-year-old Charles Goodstein, of Durham, New Hampshire died in the crash that happened just after 8:30 Sunday night. An ATV carrying two people left the trail about a mile and a half south of Route 201 and struck some trees. Goodstein was a passenger on the Polaris Razor side by side ATV. The driver, 55-year-old Blake Barker, from Hampton, New Hampshire, was taken by LifeFlight to Eastern Maine Medical Center where he was last reported to be in critical condition.

Wardens say the men were traveling south on ITS 87, along the Kennebec River in Bingham when the accident happened. They continue to investigate for contributing factors related to the accident.
