Lil Wayne Reschedules Bangor Waterfront Concert

After missing his stop in Bangor on June 30th, the rapper and the venue have set a date for a makeup show.

The stop at the Maine Savings Amphitheater was scheduled as the first date on Lil Wayne’s ‘20+ Years of Carter Classics’ tour, but the rapper did not take the stage after opener 2 Chainz performed.

Lil Wayne announced Tuesday evening on social media that the show has been rescheduled for July 28th, with existing tickets honored, and more information expected to be emailed to ticket holders.

Lil Wayne also apologized to his Maine fans in a statement, saying he is sorry and looks forward to returning to give them the show they deserve.

News of Wayne missing the start of his summer tour has drawn national attention, with outlets including TMZ, Rolling Stone, and Entertainment Weekly covering the story.
