MSAD 49 Superintendent Reaches Out to Community after Crash
The superintendent of schools in MSAD 49 reached out to community members after losing three students to a tragic crash on Sunday.
Roberta Hersom posted a heartfelt letter of condolence on the district's Facebook page. The note also offers information about grief counselors available to everyone in the community, not only to the students of Lawrence Junior High and High school. The school and local communities are reeling after the accident on Sunday, in which sisters Ashlin and Emily Baker, as well as Thomas Porfirio were killed when a car they were riding in struck a tree in Clinton. The 16-year-old driver and another passenger were hurt in the crash.
Our most heartfelt condolences go out to everyone affected by this tragedy, from family and friends, to classmates and educators, and the first responders who were at the scene.
