
Maine Man is Sentenced for Killing His Sister’s Boyfriend
A man whose sister shot his ex after he killed her boyfriend received a lengthy prison sentence this week.

Two violent incidents in Southern Maine were linked because the attackers were siblings, and the victims were people with whom they were romantically linked.
On November 24th, 2023, police were called to an apartment in Biddeford for a report of a man who had been shot.

The victim, 27-year-old Ahmed Sharif of Lewiston, had died of a gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a homicide.
Several days later, Lorenze Labonte, 25, of Saco, was arrested at his home on Temple Street and charged with murder for Sharif's death. Labonte's sister had been dating the victim, who was shot in her apartment.
WMTW-TV reports Labonte believed Sharif was providing his sister with drugs.
Biddeford, Maine, Woman Arrested for Shooting Her Brother's Ex-Girlfriend
The day after Labonte was arrested, Biddeford Police were called back to Labonte's Temple Street address for a report of a woman who had been shot and critically wounded. 32-year-old Kayla Grant of Saco, who had dated Labonte, survived her injuries.
Ariana Tito, 18, of Biddeford, was arrested in Brooklyn, New York, on December 1, 2023, and charged with attempted murder. Labonte and Tito are brother and sister.
Maine Police said Tito wanted Grant to keep quiet about Sharif's murder.

WGME-TV reports Tito is now serving an eight-year sentence for elevated aggravated assault with a firearm and tampering with a witness.
This week, Lorenze Labonte was sentenced to 50 years in prison for murder.
