It's that time of year again! Literacy Volunteers of Bangor posted on their Facebook page, that tickets to their annual Literacy Tea have gone on sale. It's a yearly event they host every year to help raise money to fund everything they do to help the community.

They also have a fantastic guest at the Tea this year, Portland, Maine author Melissa Sweet, who wrote the book Some Writer!, a New York Times best-seller about beloved author E.B. White. White wrote many children's classics such as Charlotte's Web, Stewart Little, and Trumpet of the Swan.

The Literacy Tea will be held at John Bapst Memorial High School from 3:00p.m. - 5:00p.m. on March 25th. Guests are invited to take a cruise around to the 36 display tables that will be decorated to look like different children's books. There will also be snacks, pastires, and of course, tea!

Due to the popularity of the Literacy Tea, tickets must be purchased in advance. If you'd like to get tickets to this fun, family-friendly affair, you can get them here.

So grab the kids, and enjoy a nice cup of tea, while supporting one of the most well-deserved causes in the Bangor area and beyond! See you there!
