Several teenagers face felony charges after a late-night shooting in Lewiston.

The names of the suspects have not been released, because they're minors, but Lewiston Police have confirmed that they include two 16-year-olds, two 15-year-olds, and a 14-year-old.
They are all charged with conpiracy to commit murder.
Lewiston, Maine Police Found Evidence of a Shooting on Pierce Street
The incident began on Saturday night, May 30, 2026, when Lewiston Police responded to the area of 125 Pierce Street, at approximately 11 pm.
Numerous callers had reported hearing gunshots in the neighborhood.
When the officers arrived on the scene, they didn't find any suspects, but did find evidence of a shooting.

Lewiston Police say several spent shell casings were located behind an apartment building on Pierce Street.

They also found multiple bullet holes that had entered what they called a targeted apartment.
The officers interviewed the occupants of the apartment and learned that they had been warned earlier in the evening that they may be targeted.
As a result of that investigation, the five teenagers were charged in connection with what the police called a 'retaliatory shooting.'
The five teenage males were transported to the Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland.
