Veterans Day in Bangor and Brewer will be a sunny and windy day as those that have served our country well march in the annual parade!

First things first, though!

This year, the Bangor Rotary's 10th Annual Veterans Day Pancake Breakfast will take place at Jeff's Catering at 15 Littlefield Road in Brewer.  Normally the breakfast would be at the Brewer Auditorium, but not this year.  The all you can eat breakfast will be served between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Satruday, and it's open to the general public.  Veterans eat FREE!  Otherwise the cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

Meanwhile, beginning at 9, the Greater Bangor Veterans Day Parade will begin to assemble on Vista Way, the small road that runs beside Hannaford in Brewer. It will depart around 10:15 a.m.

The parade will then take a left onto Wilson Street and run across the Chamberlain Bridge. It will then take a right onto Bangor's Main Street, and eventually join State Street before ending on Exchange.

At this point the National Weather Service is calling for a sunny day with a high temperature of 36 degrees, although the winds could gust as high as 25 mph.
