A homeless woman is accused of robbing a group of people at gunpoint inside a building on Union Street in Bangor Monday night.

Sabrina Cummings, 26, a Penobscot County transient, is charged with robbery, criminal threatening and criminal restraint, Bangor police Sgt. Tim Cotton told the Bangor Daily News Tuesday.

Cummings allegedly pointed a handgun at the group and demanded money.

Police said Cummings “threatened them by pointing the firearm at them and also told them that they could not leave.”

It’s not clear if Cummings knew the victims of the crime.

Police were called to the building at about 10 p.m.

Officers arrested Cummings and took her to the Penobscot County Jail.

She's scheduled to make her initial court appearance on the robbery charge Wednesday at the Penobscot Judicial Center.
