The statement continues, describing “Carry On” as telling the story of a barmaid in Key West who lives freely, with a past full of unforgettable moments and a simple outlook on life.

Chesney added that the song came together naturally in the studio, with a chorus that encourages people to follow what feels right and focus on what truly matters.

Co-produced with Buddy Cannon, “Carry On” leans into his signature upbeat outlook while also pointing toward his upcoming 20th studio album.

Continuing his focus on strong songs and staying true to who he is, Chesney says the track is meant to lift your mood and bring people together, encouraging everyone to sing along and use music as an easy way to shift their energy.
