Girl, 9, Charged With Making False Report That Led To Lockdowns At Jay Schools

A 9-year-old girl is accused of making a false report of an individual with a gun at Spruce Mountain Middle School in Jay.

Police said the girl, a Livermore Falls resident, made several 911 calls from a school bus, prompting lockdowns at several area schools Wednesday.

The girl was charged with creating a false public alarm, a misdemeanor.

She attends the middle school in Jay, which went on lockdown along with the elementary and high schools.
