A former Bangor special education teacher is going to jail for taking inappropriate photos of women.

WABI-TV reports Benjamin Emmott received a 9 month prison sentence earlier this week, after a judge denied his plea bargain with the district attorney. He will also lose his teaching certificate and be registered as a sex offender for 10 years.

The charges stem from a thumb drive found in a car that once belonged to Emmott. The drive contained thousands of images and videos that were taken under women's skirts without their permission. A timestamp on one video indicated it dated back to 2008. According to the District Attorney, most of the victims appeared to be over the age of 18, but others could have been younger.

Emmott will begin his prison sentence later this month.
