A Rockland man's body has been recovered from the lake where he was boating.
Rockland, Maine Boater's Body Located After He Went Missing in Chickawaukie Lake
Timothy Payson, 59, of Rockland, Maine, was on Chickawaukie Lake in Rockland when he disappeared.
Maine Wardens say a Rockland resident reported hearing a man yelling for help from the water at approximately 8:00 am. The individual ran down over the bank to help while his wife called 911.
Rockland, Maine, Man's Boat Found Circling With a Dog Onboard But No Operator
When the man got to the water, he saw a small Zodiak-style boat doing circles in the water, with a dog onboard.

The operator of the boat was never actually seen by the resident who heard him cry for help.
Rockland first responders managed to board the moving boat and turn it off, but the operator was still missing.
Rockland, Maine, Man's Body Recovered from Chickawaukie Lake
The Maine Warden Service dive team began searching at approximately 1:00 pm Sunday afternoon, continuing into the night using sonar-equipped watercraft until they found him.
Mr. Payson's body was located by divers at approximately 10:20 Sunday night in approximately 15' of water.
