Maine State Police are investigating a fatal crash on I-95 that claimed the life of a Brewer woman.

Maine State Police Say a Brewer Woman Died in a Rollover Crash on I-95

Officials say Darcel Geiser, 58, of Brewer, was pronounced deceased at the scene of a motor vehicle crash at mile marker 174, just north of the exit 174 on-ramp in Newburgh.

Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash at approximately 1:30 pm, on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

A preliminary investigation suggests the female driver was traveling northbound in the passing lane when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over several times.

Geiser was not wearing a seatbelt and had to be extricated from the vehicle.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officials have not commented on what caused Ms. Geiser's vehicle to leave the roadway.

Northbound Traffic on I-95 was Stopped By a Fatal Rollover Crash

Traffic was stopped on I-95 while officials investigated the crash and cleared the scene.

LifeFlight aided in the rescue effort, as well as the Newburgh Fire Department.

This crash remains under investigation.
