Maine Warden Service K9 Locates Stolen Firearm from Dixmont Home Invasion
When the woman's significant other arrived home, they checked the area where Cohen had allegedly been in the house and told deputies that a hunting rifle was missing. The homeowners knew the rifle had been there prior to the home invasion.
Deputies requested a K9 from the Maine Warden Service because they didn't believe Ms. Cohen could have gone very far with the rifle. Maine Warden Service K9 Handler Warden Voter and K9 Koda arrived to assist.
K9 Koda aided in a search of the area between the victims' house and the property where the suspect was located and found the gun concealed in the woods. Officials say it would have been nearly impossible for deputies to locate the firearm without K9 Koda's help.
Penobscot County authorities say more charges may be pending for Cohen and/or others.
