A man wanted in connection to a shooting in Caribou was caught over the weekend, after giving authorities the wrong name in Pennsylvania.

Caribou Police say Adrien Covington was arrested Sunday morning by the Lansford and Allentown Pennsylvania Police Departments. When he first spoke with police, he gave a false name. Once his real identity had been confirmed, police located the vehicle he was in and took him into custody.

Covington was in a taxi last month in Caribou when he allegedly shot a man during an altercation. He will be extradited to Maine to face charges in Aroostook County in connection with the shooting. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
