Police in southern Maine are looking for two people in connection with the stabbing of a man in Buckfield.

The Oxford County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened around 1:00 Tuesday morning. WGME-TV reports 52-year-old Neil Roy Canney and his niece, 49-year-old Selena Canney, allegedly forced 67-year-old Edwin Bennett into his home at gunpoint. They then allegedly beat him with the gun and stabbed him. Bennett was able to escape the house and call 911. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.
