Baxter State Park Accepting Summer 2022 Reservations

With summer around the corner, Baxter State Park is booking reservations.

Spring has sprung, and summer adventures are only a couple months away. Baxter State Park is now booking campsites through the park's four month rolling reservation system for the 2022 summer season. Reservations can be made by calling (207)-723-5140. Some campsites cannot be be reserved online.

Most of the park's campgrounds open May 15, if conditions allow. The Chimney Pond campground will open June 1. Nesowadnehunk will open May 27.

Baxter State Park reminds visitors: "All sites have natural water sources, and none have spigots. All water should be treated. This is a wilderness area. No cooking or sleeping supplies are available for purchase within the park. There are no showers, only outhouses. You must check-in at the gate no later than 8:30PM on your first night of camping."
