Bangor Police Identify Victim of Fatal New Year’s Crash [UPDATE]

Bangor Police on Thursday released the identity of a woman killed in an early morning car crash on New Year's Day on the Finson Road.

Elizabeth Horlieca, 37, of Hudson, was killed when the 2000 Jeep sport utility vehicle in which she a passenger left the road and struck a tree. The driver of the Jeep, 42-year-old Shawn E. Macnevin of Hudson, was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center with serious but apparently, non-life threatening injuries.

As with all fatal accidents in the State of Maine, the driver was subject to blood alcohol testing. The result of that test is currently unavailable.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
