An exit off I-295 in southern Maine is blocked, at this hour, after a tractor trailer rolled onto its side.

The driver of the tractor trailer received only minor injuries in the accident that happened just after 4:00 Thursday morning. The rig, which is carrying a load of frozen hash browns, is stretched across the roadway, making it impassable.

Police have dealt with the dicey situation (get it? diced potatoes) by closing Exit 11 and the Route 1 on-ramp to the Falmouth Spur until they can get the road cleared. A wrecker is on-scene, so the frozen hash browns should be on their way to your weekend breakfast plate soon. Still, police expect the road to be closed for a couple of hours.
