Worker Killed In Sawmill Accident

A 38-year-old man is dead after an accident at a Dixfield sawmill.

According to WMTW-TV, 38-year-old Christopher Pineau was killed while working on the log yard crane just before 9:00 Saturday morning. He had been working at the J.D. Irving Ltd. sawmill on the Hall Hill Road since 2013.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate the death.
