It was believed that they also stole the man's dog. Thursday night, the dog's remains were found on a private beach. The dog had been violently killed and then the body was wrapped in garbage bags.
Now, arrest warrants have been issued for 37-year-old Nathan Burke of Hancock and 22-year-old Justin Chipman of Winter Harbor. Anyone who knows their whereabouts is asked to contact the Winter Harbor Police Department.
Police told WABI-TV that the two men are acquainted with the homeowner.
