Westbrook Police Identify Victims Of Fatal Crash

Westbrook Police have released the identities of three people who died this morning when their taxi was hit by a pickup truck.

The accident happened just before 7:00 this morning in the area of 750 Old County Road in Westbrook. Police say a taxi, driven by 39-year-old Hassan Idris of Lewiston collided with an oncoming pickup truck, driven by 60-year-old Lisa Libby of Hollis. Idris and his two passengers, 50-year-old Gregory Harriman of Sebago and 33-year-old Joshua Stone of Gorham were killed in the crash. Libby was transported to Maine Medical Center for unspecified injuries. Idris was a driver for Orange Taxi and Transportation Service of Portland.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation and police say the results won't be available for weeks, until after the reconstruction of the crash is completed.
