Emera Maine says storms on Wednesday caused power outages in Bar Harbor and a number of northern Maine communities.

The utility just before 2 p.m. reported nearly 1,300 outages due to thunderstorms and gusty winds.

Emera said more than 760 customers had lost power in Lee, Lincoln and Winn, with scattered outages in Madawaska, Isleford, Sherman and Bangor.

All Emera customers in Bar Harbor lost power Wednesday due to a fallen tree. Service was restored to all customers by 2 p.m.
