A Maine woman has pleaded guilty after driving her vehicle rapidly toward a Border Patrol Agent.
Thomaston, Maine, Woman Pleads Guilty to Assaulting a Border Patrol Agent
Olivia Wilkins, 24, of Thomaston, pleaded guilty in a Portland, Maine, courtroom to assaulting a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent engaged in his official duties.
In August 2025, a United States Border Patrol agent responded to a one-vehicle crash in the town of Washington, Maine.

As members of law enforcement conducted their roadside investigation, a passing vehicle driven by Wilkins parked near the investigators.
Maine Woman Sped Her Vehicle Toward a US Border Patrol Agent at a Crash Scene
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Maine, Ms. Wilkins voiced concerns about the Border Patrol agent's presence at the crash site.
She was not required to leave but was allowed to move her vehicle back from the officers so they could continue their investigation.

The real trouble started when the Border Patrol agent took an individual on scene into custody and began walking them toward the cruiser.
Officials say Wilkins accelerated toward the agent, who pulled the suspect off the roadside, away from the path of her vehicle.
Wilkins stopped the vehicle without striking either the agent or the individual in custody, then swerved onto the roadway and fled.
Maine Woman Faces Up to 20 Years in Prison for Threatening a Border Patrol Agent
Maine State Police arrested Wilkins a short distance away.
She now faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and up to three years of supervised release.
The FBI was involved in this investigation.
