Former Waldo County Technical Center Director Arrested

The former Director of the Waldo County Technical Center is facing charges for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a teenage girl.

Maine State Police Troopers arrested 58-year-old Kevin Michaud at his China home on July 11th, 2021. He's charged with one count of simple assault and summonsed for one count of unlawful sexual touching. Officials say Michaud came to the attention of police following the discovery of his alleged online communications with a 13-year-old female. He was charged after police learned of a pair of incidents that allegedly happened with the teenager in Waldo County earlier this year.

Michaud was booked into the Waldo County Jail and was then released on bail. His bail conditions include a requirement that he have no contact with any children under the age of 18, and that he not return to the Waldo County Technical Center.
