One person was sent to the hospital after a man was stabbed on Union Street in Bangor on Sunday.

What Happened?

Bangor Police Sergeant Jason McAmbley says officers were called to a home on outer Union Street just before 6:00 Sunday afternoon for a report of an assault with a knife. When they arrived, they found a male victim with a non-life-threatening knife wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later reported to be in stable condition.

Who Is the Suspect?

As a result of an investigation into this incident, Brandon Hamilton, 40, of Bangor has been arrested. He's now facing two felony charges, including aggravated assault and burglary. Police have not released any details about the circumstances that led up to the stabbing. This incident remains under investigation.
