Two teens were killed and several other people injured in a Monday night crash in Sandy River Plantation.

17-year-old Thomas Deckard-Madore of Strong and 15-year-old Michaela Morgan of Phillips died in an accident Monday night on Route 4 in Sandy River Plantation. They were passengers in a black Pontiac G6, driven by 18-year-old Kaylee Knight, along with two other teenagers. Just after 8:30, their vehicle collided with a gray Toyota Avalon,driven by 79-year-old Karl Crute, and also occupied by his wife, 79-year-old Laraine Crute. One of teens, along with the Crutes, are being treated at the hospital for serious injuries.

This accident remains under investigation by the Maine State Police, including what caused the vehicles to collide. They were assisted at the scene by multiple police, fire, and rescue agencies.
