Two Maine Towns On ‘Coldest Places In The U.S.’ List Today

Two Maine towns were among the 15 coldest towns in the United States on Monday, Jan. 9.

Presque Isle and Clayton Lake both cracked the list at number 10 and 13, respectively.

At the Northern Maine Regional Airport in Presque Isle. it was 20-degrees below zero at 8:19 a.m. At the Clayton Lake Strip in Clayton lake, it was 19-degrees below zero.

The nine coldest U.S. towns were in Alaska.

As far as the coldest town in the world? That would be Coral Harbour, Nunavut, which was 45-degrees below zero.
