Bangor's Public Works department is warning drivers that traffic will be slowed on the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge Thursday morning.

According to a post on the City of Bangor's Facebook page, crews will be replacing a light pole on the bridge that spans the Penobscot River. There's no word about exactly when the project will begin or how long it will take, but officials say it should be completed before noon.

Traffic will be down to one lane, with flaggers in place. Drivers are advised to use either the Veterans Memorial or Penobscot Bridges, or give themselves a little extra time to get to their destination this morning.
