Kamala Harris Endorses Troy Jackson in Maine U.S. Senate Race
The former vice president has endorsed Troy Jackson in his bid to unseat Susan Collins in November.

Kamala Harris has told supporters in a Tuesday fundraising email that she could relate to the rushed process he faced in becoming the Democratic nominee.
Jackson replaced Graham Platner, who ended his campaign after securing the nomination following a sexual assault allegation that he denies, while Harris became the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee after former President Joe Biden ended his reelection campaign.

Republican state Rep. James White is challenging Jackson’s eligibility to appear on the ballot.
White argues that Jackson violated Maine election law by seeking another office after his unsuccessful gubernatorial campaign. Jackson’s campaign has dismissed the claim, and it remains unclear whether the Maine Secretary of State’s Office is reviewing White’s request for an investigation.
