Suspect Identified In Unity Pharmacy Robbery
An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in the Unity Pharmacy robbery and now police are looking for the man.
The Waldo County Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old Andrew Sousa of Brooks is charged with Class B Robbery and is currently sought by law enforcement. Sousa is wanted in connection with an incident on April 9th when he allegedly dressed all in black, partially covered his face, and walked into Edwards Shop n' Save in Unity. The suspect handed a note to the clerk at the Unity Pharmacy and demanded drugs. When the clerk cooperated and gave him what he wanted, he ran out and left in a red car.
The last time law enforcement saw Sousa was later that day, in the town of Brooks, when he fled from police. When he saw the officers approaching, he ran into the woods, where officials lost track of him.Sousa ran into a wooded area where the officers lost track of him. Subsequently, an arrest warrant has been issued for Sousa and officials are asking for the public's help locating him.
