The Maine Warden Service has issued a Silver Alert for a Penobscot woman who has dementia.

UPDATE - The Maine Warden Service reports that Marjorie May has been found alive. She will be examined by medical personnel soon. 

When Was She Last Seen?

Marjorie May, 72, of Penobscot was last seen at 3:45 Monday afternoon. According to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Lieutenant Thomas Pickering, Mrs. May left her home in Penobscot at that time on foot and never returned.

What Does She Look Like?

She's described as a white female, 5'6" tall, 136 pounds, with gray hair, and blue eyes. Mrs. May was last seen wearing a lime green fleece over a burgundy turtleneck, with jeans and sneakers.

The Maine Warden Service is also looking for Marjorie and offered an update on Tuesday morning. An extensive search has been launched with ground searches, K9 units, drones and a Maine Warden Service plan scanning the area. A Maine Forest Service helicopter will also be joining during the morning.

Agencies involved in the search include Maine State Police, Maine Warden Service, Maine Forest Service, Penobscot Fire Department, and Maine Search and Rescue Dogs. Members of the Maine Association for Search and Rescue will be joining later in the day.
