Police on Thursday released the identity of human remains found in Greenfield earlier this week.

State Police say they believe the skeletal remains found outside a home in Greenfield earlier in the week are likely those of the man who lived there. The man who resided there was Joseph O'Clair, 60.

The remains were found outside O'Clair's home at 407 Crocker Turn Road on Monday. Detectives, State Police evidence technicians, and the State Medical Examiner's Office spent Tuesday and Wednesday searching the property.

The remains have been transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta.  DNA testing at the State Police Crime Lab will be utilized to help with the identification .  There is no indication of foul play at this point and detectives are asking anyone who has had contact with O'Clair in recent months to contact them at the State Police communications center in Bangor at 973-3700.
