Police Say Speed, Alcohol Factors in a Fatal Crash in Lincoln
One person is dead and another hospitalized after a single-vehicle accident on Main Street in Lincoln.
Police say it appears speed and alcohol, as well as weather, were factors in the accident that happened Thursday evening at 687 Main Street. Penobscot County Sheriff's deputies told WVII-TV that a 46-year-old man was killed in the crash, and another person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The names of the driver and passenger have not been released, pending notification of family.
The sheriff's office was aided at the scene by Lincoln Police and Fire Departments. This crash remains under investigation.
