Police Release Identity of Woman Found Dead in Hampden

Police have released the identities of a woman who was found dead in Hampden on Tuesday, and her husband who was hospitalized.

Hampden Police originally went to the couple's home at 1292 Kennebec Road after a family member asked them to check on their well being. 73-year-old Georgeanne Jackson was found dead and her husband, 73-year-old David Jackson was found unresponsive. He was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center.

State Police are working with Hampden authorities in the investigation into the circumstances of the woman's death.  The home was secured by police and Mrs. Jackson's body was taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta, where an autopsy will be conducted on  Wednesday.
