The Attorney General's Office has released the identity of a Medford man who was seriously injured in a police-involved shooting.

According to the Piscataquis County Sheriff's Office, one of their deputies attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Douglas Hazen of Medford on Friday. Officials say Hazen had warrants out for his arrest. When the man didn't pull over, a low-speed chase ensued, that included help from the Milo Police Department.

The chase ended on Partridge Lane in Medford, and was followed by an armed confrontation, during which Hazen was shot. The Attorney General's office has not released the name of the officer who shot him. WABI-TV says Hazen was listed in critical condition, at last report.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
