Pedestrian Killed When Hit By A Train In Biddeford [UPDATE]

Biddeford Police have identified a 42-year-old man who was killed when he was hit by a train over the weekend.

Police say Dennis McGillivray of Biddeford was walking southbound on Sunday on the tracks between Westmore Avenue and Pomerleau Street when he was hit at around 4:00 Sunday afternoon. Biddeford Police told WABI-TV that there were passengers on the Amtrak train at the time of the accident.

Biddeford and railroad police are investigating the incident. So far, the State Medical Examiner hasn't released whether the death was an accident or suicide.
