Orrington Garage Fire Displaces Three People And Pets

No one was hurt when a garage fire in Orrington started to spread to the mobile home.

Orrington firefighters say, when they first heard about the fire at 124 Dow Road, they were led to believe that people were trapped inside. Because of that, they called in mutual aid from several neighboring towns including Bangor, Brewer, Eddington, Holden, Hampden, Bucksport, and Dedham/Lucerne. When they arrived, however, they found that the residents and their two pets had made it out safely.

Fire consumed the garage, where it's believed to have started. But firefighters were able to stop it before it caused too much damage to the house. Investigators will now look into the cause of the fire. The residents are being helped by the Red Cross.
