I'm adamant about not texting while driving; it makes me crazy when I see someone else doing it. I've even seen people texting while riding a motorcycle. I mean...really? How do you do that and stay on two wheels?
But that's not the only way phones can distract drivers.

Where is your phone when you're driving? Mine is usually in my pocket, but sometimes, I'll set it on the center console, next to me. And I will admit, if it pings with a notification, it's tough not to let my eyes wander down to see who it's from.
Maine Police Say Food, Earbuds, and Even the Car's Electronics Are Distracting
Old Town Police are reminding drivers of the ways they can become distracted while driving. Food is a good example, and earbuds that block out things like horns blaring at you.

But what about electronics in the car? They're all so elaborate, with touch screens and hands-free devices, that it would be easy to become distracted while using them on the road.
