Old Dominion Singer Sports a Love Maine Hat in Their New Video
Look closely at the hats in Old Dominion's latest in-studio video and you'll notice the outline of a familiar state.
What Video is It In?
Last week, a friend mentioned on Facebook that Matthew Ramsey was wearing a hat from Maine in their new video. So, of course, I had to check it out. I went to YouTube and found several videos recorded in the studio, where several of the band members are wearing hats. It took watching a couple of videos (which is never a hardship when it's Old Dominion) before I found what I was looking for.
The video is for the song, 'Some Horses' and, as I said, it was recorded in the studio. I only had to wait 33 seconds before I saw it. The hat that had been worn backwards was turned around, so the logo could be seen clearly. It's an outline of the state of Maine with the words "LOVE me' written across it. How cool is that?
Does Ramsey Have a Connection to Maine?
So what's his connection to the state? No idea. He did cancel a show here after his ATV accident in March, but he canceled many shows as he took time to make an impressive recovery from a fractured pelvis. That show has been rescheduled to Friday, July 28th at the Cross Insurance Center and I, for one, can't wait to see it. I think we need to give him a warm welcome considering the fact that he represented our state in his video.
Can I Find a Hat Like That?
For the record, the hats and other Maine gear is made in Portland by a company called Live Maine. They have everything from hats and t-shirts to baby onesies with the logo. And now, they've been represented by the Group of the Year.
