A new I-95 interchange will open Friday in Waterville.

The interchange at Exit 124 on Trafton Road will open to traffic at 2 p.m., Ted Talbot, spokesman for the Maine Department of Transportation, said Thursday.

"This interchange will allow a direct access to I-95 and will help to foster business growth opportunities within the area," Talbot said.

Governor Paul LePage will attend a ribbon cutting ceremony at the interchange Friday morning.
