You’re kidding me, right. But no is it World mosquito day tomorrow, August 20th
Too bad it is on a Saturday, or maybe we could lobby to make it a national holiday so we could get a day off work, he typed with tongue in cheek.
The reason for world mosquito day is actually for a real reason, and not to thank them for their existence or to offer them our exposed skin
August 20th marks the 125th year since scientists linked mosquitoes to the spread of malaria. Hence, World Mosquito Day
No way did they have bug spray back in those days. But maybe we can use it as a reminder that if you're going into the woods tomorrow, make sure any exposed skin has bug spray on it
And tomorrow night when you're sitting around the campfire listening to Rowdy Yates, don't stray too far away from the fire pit without bug spray

Doesn’t rain have to do with the swell in the population of mosquitoes? And with the rain the past few days, and the expected rain many days next week, my fear is we are not done with those buggers just yet this summer.
