Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Kennebunk man who has been driving around the state, and traveled as far away as Bangor.

UPDATE: Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says Mr. Chandler has been found safe.

Who's Missing?

The Kennebunk Police Department says they're asking for the public's help locating David Chandler, 87, of Kennebunk.

What Do Police Know About Where He's Been?

Mr. Chandler was last seen at around 2:00 Wednesday afternoon, March 22nd. He had left his home on Huntington Commons Dive in Kennebunk in his white 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan with Maine license plate 5289ZJ. Chandler, who has been suffering from cognitive issues, has an Apple Air Tag in his wallet, which indicates that he has been driving around the areas of Saco, Bangor, Falmouth, and most recently in Sanford at around 1:00 Thursday afternoon. Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says the Air Tag is losing its battery, so officials issued the Silver Alert, asking the public to help them locate him.

What Does Chandler Look Like?

Police describe Mr. Chandler as a white male, 5'10" tall, and 155 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes.
