Massive Apartment House Fire In Biddeford

Crews are on the scene of a huge apartment house fire in Biddeford at this hour.

The call came in at around 9:00 this morning of a fire at a three-story apartment house at 45 Hill Street. Flames could be seen covering the top of the house, with huge plumes of black smoke that were visible for miles. Residents were evacuated and there's been no word of any injuries.

So far, firefighters are battling the blaze from outside the building, and working to prevent it from spreading to buildings across the alley. The Portland Press Herald reports the structure was built in 1900 and has six apartments.
